2026 Northern Fall Field Day

On September 9, 2026, Central Aroostook Soil & Water Conservation District hosted the Maine Envirothon’s 2026 Northern Fall Field Day at Northern Maine Community Trails, the former Nordic Heritage Center in Presque Isle.

The field day brought together 25 students from four Aroostook County schools for a day of hands-on learning in wildlife, forestry, soils, and aquatics. Students moved through the field stations together as one group, giving them the opportunity to learn from local natural resource professionals while exploring the outdoor setting.

The day included instruction and activities led by professionals from Central Aroostook Soil & Water Conservation District, the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Irving Woodlands LLC, the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands, the University of Maine, and the Maine Department of Environmental Protection.

CASWCD appreciates all of the instructors, volunteers, participating schools, and Northern Maine Community Trails for helping make the field day possible. The event provided students with an opportunity to connect what they learn through Envirothon with real-world natural resource management and field experiences.
