The Maine Association of Conservation Districts wants to thank all of the students, teachers, volunteers, partners, and sponsors who help make this environmental education program possible each year!
The Maine Envirothon program provides opportunities for high school students to gain hands-on natural resource knowledge and study current environmental issues with state soil scientists, biologists, foresters, and other natural resource professionals.
If interested, teams of 3-5 students can also compete each spring to solve hands-on problems on five topics:
Aquatics
Forestry
Soils
Wildlife
2026 natural resource current issue: Nonpoint Source Pollution: It begins at home!
The winning team of the Maine competition can compete at the International competition for individual college scholarships.
The 2026 International Envirothon competition will be at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi from July 19-25, 2026.
